Students may not receive a Dean's Honor Scholarship in combination with any other Tulane merit scholarship, ROTC scholarship, Faculty-Staff Tuition Waiver or Tuition Exchange Scholarship. Students may combine the award with a partial athletic scholarship. Students offered a Dean's Honor Scholarship may qualify for need-based aid. Students suspended from the university for honor of disciplinary violations will forfeit all remaining portions of any university merit scholarship they have been offered. Application Procedure Applications can be obtained from the Office of Undergraduate Admission. Students must submit the application for admission, Deans' Honor Scholarship application, project, and teacher recommendations to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by December 15. Seniors in their last semester who enroll less than full-time may still receive the scholarship, but the amount will be reduced by the amount of the tuition reduction. Other students who enroll in or drop to less than full-time in the fall semester will have their scholarship reduced by their tuition reduction, if any. They will be allowed to retain their tuition scholarship for the spring semester provided they enroll full-time, but may lose eligibility for all following years since the scholarship guidelines require that students maintain continuous full-time enrollment. Students who enroll in or drop to less than full-time in the spring semester will have their tuition scholarship reduced by their tuition reduction, if any, but may lose eligibility for the scholarship in future semesters. Students who take an approved leave of absence may regain their scholarship upon their return provided they continue to meet all academic and enrollment conditions and submit documentation verifying the approved leave of absence. Acceptable documentation is either a copy of their college's approved leave of absence form or a letter from their academic dean's office confirming the terms and length of the student's approved leave of absence.

Emory University Emory Advantage
http://www.emory.edu/FINANCIAL_AID/emory_advantage/
Emory Advantage is Emory University's financial aid initiative to help students from families with annual incomes $100,000 or less who demonstrate a need for financial aid. The program reduces the amount of money borrowed to pay for an undergraduate Emory degree. The goal is to make an Emory education attainable for any qualified student, regardless of income. A high-quality student body is composed of diverse ideas, perspectives, backgrounds, and life experiences. Emory is committed to opening our doors to any qualified student who wants to pursue a world-class education and to use their talents to impact the world. Giving students the opportunity to graduate with little or no debt eases the financial burdens that can limit postgraduate career or education choices. The Loan Replacement Grant (LRG) replaces loans for dependent undergraduate students whose families' annual incomes are $50,000 or less. Grants replace need-based loans to cover expenses including tuition, room, and board. The eligible grant amount represents the student's self-help portion normally given in the form of a loan. The LRG is available to eligible incoming and continuing undergraduate students starting in the 2007-2008 academic year. The Loan Cap Program (LCP) caps cumulative need-based debt at $15,000 for dependent undergraduate students whose families' annual incomes are between $50,000 and $100,000. With the Loan Cap Program, students receive a standard financial aid award for freshman and sophomore years. This estimated award could include federal or state aid, institutional loans or grants, or Work-Study. After a student has accrued a total of $15,000 in need-based loans, Emory will provide grants to cover any remaining need-based funding incurred through degree completion. The LCP is available to eligible incoming students starting in the 2007-2008 academic year. Students enrolled at Emory prior to the 2007-2008 academic year are not eligible for the Loan Cap Program.
